Whatta a Weekend!

So the weekend started off ok. Friday night was fine. I made beef burritos for my boyfriend and they looked delish, but I still ate my korma. It was nicer then I expected. Then on Saturday I went to watch footy. Which involves sitting in the car for hours, and usually I snack on burger rings, chocolate and dim sims, but this time I took carrot and celery sticks and some hummus. This too was fine. I ate left over meatballs for lunch, but then the team lost footy so we had to go to the pub, so they could drown their sorrows. And this is where the problem started. At around 9pm I was starting to get starving, and I just really wanted to get home to my minestrone. So I thought it wasn't too unfair to ask if we could go home soon, seeing as the drive is 1 and a half hours, and I'm driving. But apparently this was unfair, so my boyfriend ate his delish looking steak and drank many, many beers.
 Meanwhile I was feeling sick and shaking from hunger! I didn't want to be unreasonable, so I said I'd wait until the pub closed, then we could go home. Sometimes it sucks being the designated driver! He ended up drinking to much, so we actually got to leave at 11.30, which means I got to eat my leftover minestrone at 1am! Needless to say I was super grumpy and pissed off! It was a good test though, because if anything could've driven me to drink and junk food that would have been it. But I survived! I don't know who was in the wrong. I thought we could negotiate, but apparently that makes me the worst person in the world because I should just want to stay as long as he wants to... Oh well. Today I also stuck to the plan exactly. The Thai beef salad was really delish! Just can't wait for the weekend to be over though!

I went and put the following on layby on Friday arvo. Can't wait to pick them up! It's a good idea rewarding myself with items like these instead of food.
